vivPlayer offers fully hardware accelerated video playback on PCs and Macs. A light footprint, easy to use features and a unique ability to run on locked down corporate PCs make publishing pages simple for webcasters, while giving users the best video experience possible.
Webcasters can publish pages in two modes
These are “Simplified” and “Preferred”.
In the simplified mode, the users browser will prompt the first time user to install the Vividas player plugin
In the preferred mode, if the browser is Internet Explorer and the user has Java, the browser will run the player without requiring software to be installed.
This method enables Vividas to run on locked down corporate networks where installing or updating video player software cannot be done by the user. If the user is running another browser and is therefore not restricted by Microsoft security policy. the browser will prompt the user to install the player plugin.
vivPlayer Generator
Although the steps to deploy vivPlayer requires only basic HTML knowledge some webcasters may not have the web skills necessary.
With the vivPlayer generator, webcasters can create a stand alone vivPlayer page that they can download and host in just a few clicks of the mouse. Alternatively they can generate the code required to embed a vivPlayer into their webpage or CMS via copy and paste.
