Bandwidth reduction

VivQ

Total Control

Vividas features it’s own proprietary desktop player which uses upto 30% less bandwidth to deliver a better image, SD or HD with enriched sound, via a basic web server, removing the need for costly proprietary streaming servers, software installation or specialty network upgrades.

VivQ is a remote management interface, which enables full remote control of multiple VivCast encoding suites at any one time providing unrivaled levels of redundancy. Even if encoders are located in different offices, different cities or different countries, they can all be managed from one place.

VivQ also allows the use of two encoders to deliver a fully redundant webcast through an innovative process of synchronization. The service also includes a folder-watch facility ensuring videos can be encoded automatically upon arrival.

VivQ is the ideal partner for LIVE EVENTS and offers a range of mobile and portable fully redundant webcast streams from a remote interface. The system also offers the ability to encode and stream live video, to make replays immediately available as well as to bookmark key points in the transmission allowing a more concise review of the event immediate afterwards. This ability to offer additional video streams increases the number of “eyeballs” and thus the value of an event to sponsors and advertisers and, where a subscription is charged by the rights owners, the ability to add revenues directly from those watching replays.

In the unlikely case of an unrecoverable error from a live encoding suite, VivQ can stop the problematic suite and switch on a 3rd live encoding suite to continue the encoding and streaming of files to the replaced location. The use of three rather than two encoding suites gives you three complete levels of redundancy with further optional encoding suites if required.
